What robot hire costs
Day rates published by UK operators start at about £450 a day for a small social robot like Pepper. Spot is around £467 a day on academic rates. A full show robot with an engineer on site can cost several thousand pounds. Most quotes add travel, set up time and any branding. Operators quote for your exact date, place and hours, so the quickest way to a real price is to ask.
What to tell the operator
- The date, start time and how many hours you need the robot.
- The venue and whether it is indoors or outdoors.
- What you want it to do: walk around, greet people, pose for photos, go on stage.
- Your rough budget. It helps them suggest the right robot.
